I am new to this forum.
Was diagnosed with EBV a couple of years ago and continue to struggle with this.
Several blood tests along the way confirm. My internest is great but tells me there is no treatment.
Sooooo, the burning question is, does anyone have the name of a medical provider in Houston that could help?
Thanks, Russell B.

JASJAS, Thanks for the response and info. I will follow up.
where and when does the support group meet in houston.
I'm not one to sit around and wine but would like to expand my knowledge about how to eliminate or minimize this. I have stuff to do. Thanks, Russell B.

Dr Robert Battle Comprehensive Heath Association 9910 Long Point Road Houston TX. 713-932-0552
I started seeing Dr Battle June 2008. He is a licensed MD however practices in alternative medicine. He also does not file insurance so you will have to pay at the time of visit then file a claim with your insurance. My insurance did not reimburse for any of the suplements but did pay some of the office visists and other items. I was diagonosed with EBV about 10 years ago. Based on reading other post on this site my issues were not as severe as others. My body ached, ears constantly ringing and exausted after working - just overall did not feel well everyday. After seeing him abot 6 months I felt so much better. I sleep throught the night and wake well rested, my body does not ache as much or often. The only issue I really still have is the ear ringing. They ring constantly.

Brenda Hassebrock,D.C. 2584 Fondren Rd. Houston, TX 77063 713-780-8343
If you are still looking for help, I something for you. I saw this chiropractor and she helped me when no one else could. In the afternoon's at work, I would basically just "pray" my way through the last 2-3 hours of the work day, as I would be so tired and unable to concentrate. Now I can make it through a whole day with sustained energy and a better attitude. I have cut down on medication and eliminated some altogether. The treatments are comfortable and they billed the insurance company and I just paid my copay. Good Luck!

I was just diagnosed with CEBV after spending thousands of dollars with an internist, neurologist, health and wellness doctor, endocrinologist, nephrologist, GP, 2 chiropractors, allergists, etc, I finally found a doctor in Houston, TX to treat me.
She ran the following tests: HHV-6, IgG/M Antibodies, Quant; Lyme Ab/Western Blot Reflex; EBV Acute INfection Antibodies; IgG, Suclasses (1-4); C - Reactive Protein, Cardiac; Cyclic AMP, Plasma; Rheumatoid Arthritis Factor; Glutathione; Antinuclear Antibodies Direct; Venipunctiure; Non LCA Req
The treatment is Glutathione/ATP injections (only $10.00 per injection) since CEBV depletes your levels, from what I understand. The good news is that once your levels have been brought up to normal you should be 'good to go'. Not a cure, mind you, but your strength and endurance should be greatly improved and you should feel fairly normal. I've only had 1 injection but already felt better by the next day. My doctor's name is Dr. Patricia Salvato (internist). She is on Richmond Ave in Houston, TX. She is one of the very few doctors who actually listens to your symptoms and really cares. She is my miracle. Even if I remain too sick to function after several injections, she is still my hero just for validating my illness, that all the other doctors wrote off to depression. I highly recommend this doctor. She files insurance!

My daughter was diagnosed by MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is seen by a leukemia dr and infectious disease dr there. Dr. Ferrajoli Baylor has a dr doing a procol on EBV; gene therapy. Her name is Helen Hesloff. It did not work on my daughter. MDACC is doing research on EBV.

I'm sorry the protocol didn't work for your daughter. What is being done for her now? Thanks, though, for the encouraging news that research is being done by MD Anderson!

I receive the ATP injections as well as a regiment of Acyclovir, the antiviral used to treat the herpes virus. Since EBV is in the same family as herpes virus, the medication works in the same way to suppress it. In conjunction, I have experienced a tremendous increase in energy and a decrease in depression! Best of luck to you all!
