Gluten is at the top for me. When I do "cheat" I pay dearly for it! Within hours I swell up, have asthma and hurt to my very bones. So I have learned that a little cheating is NOT worth the huge setback and pain! I also steer away from dairy as it and wheat causes bowel problems. When my Doc found out I EVB, he also ran a food allergy test on me, said that food allergies compromise the immune system causing the EVB symtoms to flair up. When I eat any of those foods, my EVB always flairs up.

Anything with YEAST in it - fermented, moldy, etc... All cheese and yogurt, wine, soysauce in large amts, etc... Bread with yeast. Food allergy test came back super high for all dairy and molds and yeasts, green peas, cauliflower, turkey, tuna, peanut. I'm having difficulty also with nut butters like almond butter and anything with sugar in it, like the coffee syrup I put in my morning protein shake.
Tomatoes (according to Hulda Clark all tomato sauces have mold in them as well as fruit juices). Only one bad tomato spoils the entire batch!
I'm doing okay with applesauce thought. Large meals, cooked foods in general. Raw foods make me feel better, like hemp protein powders, avacado, hummus, corn tortillas, and some sprouts, lettuces, etc...

I'd like to know what makes me feel worse because I usually cant incriminate any food item as my symptoms are pretty much the same every day. I realized once that I felt much worse after chocolate though, it's the sugar, definitey, I know it because I have candidiasis. I think I shouldnt overdo grains and limit them to a minimum. Wheat is said to create problems, I had high antibodies against it a while ago but after a gluten free diet it came back normal again. It never made any difference to my symptoms though. but I chose to eat spelt as only source of gluten and not every day.
I use raw milk butter as it is said to be very beneficial. I have reintroduced dairies although I'm not too sure about it, I buy raw milk goat cheese and raw milk to make kefir as it is said to be really good for the gut flora. I have just had raw milk with tiny bit of honey and my dizziness is worse right now, is there a link? probably but then I dont know if it is the honey or the milk..

I have not had dizziness in a couple of months until the last couple of days. The mold count in North Texas has been really high and the wind is blowing it all over. I am almost 100% positive that's the problem for me. Is the pollen count high where you are?

Pollen count is high, but I've been experiementing and went off antihistamines to test out my theory. If I eat moldy foods, and sugary foods, I have symptoms like crazy. Good foods, raw foods (vegies) = no symptoms. Acid/alkaline is also an issue. Try alkaseltzer gold to neutralize allergic reactions. I've found that tons of benedryl has no effect, but dealing with my gut is huge effect.
My doctor just told me yesterday, that as a percentage of the body, that the colon takes up tons of space... like in terms of square inches, the surface area is somethiing like miles, verus, other organ systems of the body. That said, that means that gut health is more important than so much more, as immune system is largely in gut, and if there is chronic infection, inflammation, parasites, your body is busy fighting that and you pick up any random thing much more easily, as the body can only handle one thing at a time.
I'm learning the wisdom of this, and trying to live and make positive changes. Much love and support...

Ok, hate to sound like a chubby girl addicted to food...but what do you eat all day? ?? Sounds like a lot of restrictions. ---which are worth it if it works. edit---wanted to add that I do feel better when I eat healthy foods, but I've also noticed I feel better if I just restrict calories and don't worry too much about the quality of the food--sounds horrible---I know.

Definitely alcohol. I am currently dealing with a great night on the town - back on April 22! It is strange how you can get kicked on your arse so easily! I was doing quite well beforehand. I do think moderation is key. I have had CEBV for 4 years now. First year, rested for a few months but tried to ignore the "chronic" part of the disease ... it was a tough year. I had been extremely active so it was really tough to change my lifestyle. Next year, took it seriously and rested and went over a year without a drop of alcohol. I slowly had incorporated it back, with a glass of wine here, a beer there ... I will never get tanked again after this latest episode. It is not worth it.
Also - dairy products. This is even more acute when combined with exercise. My acupuncturist says I am "damp" and need to stay away from dampening foods.
I have a question. Does anyone see a connection between their stressed immune system, food, and acne/boils? When my immune system tanks, my skin can go crazy. That is the first trigger - my skin.
Good luck everyone.
